When relocating, you probably won't have the time to look at every house for sale. At best, you might have the time to see a couple dozen, so pare down the list first thing with these tips:
- Send me two lists a few days before arriving: One should be of things you require in your new home. The other should be for optional things you want. When a house doesn't even meet your needs, we can cross it off the list.
- Know your budget. If you are going to get a home loan, secure your pre-approved amount in advance so we can eliminate homes which exceed your price range.
- What length of a commute are you willing to make each day to your job and other interests? Traffic in the San Diego area could be different than what you're currently experiencing, so let me know your limits regarding drive-time, and I'll locate homes within that radius.
Before we meet in person, I could send you recommendations for properties we should see first. Or if you've got a list of properties in mind, let me know what you've found. While seeing listing photos on the web is helpful, there's nothing like seeing homes in person. I can arrange any necessary appointments with other Realtors or homeowners and map a route.
